In the tradition of Mark Murphy, Kurt Elling and the late lyricist legend, Jon Hendricks, Cormac has added a new lyric to one of Brad Mehldau's masterful tunes. With huge thanks to Brad himself for his blessing, the track will feature on the 2018 album.

NEW STUDIO ALBUM ON THE WAY OCT 28 2018 

The new Cormac Kenevey album will feature music from various sources including Paul Simon, Oliver Nelson, James Taylor and Kristina Train as well as new lyrics by Cormac for tunes by jazz piano master Brad Mehldau and Irish guitarist Julien Colarossi.

There will be some surprises including a musical nod to vocal legend Mel Tormé. Cormac acknowledges his many influencers in the lineage of jazz singing, including Jon Hendricks, Anita O'Day, Mark Murphy and Kurt Elling, all the while maintaining his own unique and distinctive voice.
